Ended up not being able to go to school this semester, because I still owe money from last semester. I kinda had a feelng that was the case, but I was hoping it wasn't, oh well. So I will be spending this semester and the summer working my kiester off paying off school, my car, and saving up for the fall semester. I would like school payed off before the summer so I can take one class during that time, but we'll see. This will be good to take a break from school. Last semester was tough, and now I'll be starting my sophmore year in the fall as intended. So good and bad come from this.

Not much else happening. My lease is up in April, so here soon it will be time to start house hunting. Since I need to save money, I'll be staying with the two roommates, but we will be getting an actual house this time with garage and a backyard so Kyle's dogs can have some running room and stay there during the day and not in a cage. I'm ready to get out of this condo, however I wish we could keep the same landlord, she's awesome.

Well that's all I know. I did however win the hair growing bet with Josh and Blake, so hurray for me. I am going to still keep growing it till I have enough to donate to Locks for Love. Might as well do someething good with my crazy hair.

Here is my crazy hair.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 218px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_IkWqVxbZ8tM/SWuJ0L4saXI/AAAAAAAAAEA/dA0x5VAPReo/s320/my+hair.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5290473716913564018" />

Well this semester is done with, and grades as follows:

English Comp 2 - A
Humanities - B
Retard Math - A, B

That is some awesome stuff right there. I am now a server at Hideaway Pizza on Western. I applied there on Monday, they called me Wednesday, interview Thursday, and today was orientation. I am excited. Good thing is that I didn't have to cut my hair. So HA! The bet with Josh continues...

School is going good. My first retard math class is almost done and then I begin phase two. Yipee...

That is all I know. Oh by the way I have deemed 2008 the worst year ever when it comes to bad things happening to everyone. Celebs dying is running rampant also. Paul Newman just died today. Others include: Health Ledger, Bernie Mac, Isaac Hays, Robert Wright(keyboardist from Pink Floyd), Leroi Moore(saxophone player from Dave Matthews Band), Bobby Fisher, Charleton Heston, Bo Diddley, George Carlin, Estelle Getty(Sophia from Golden Girls), Don LaFontaine(movie preview voice), any that's just a few. If I were famous I would lock myself in my house and just relax for the rest of the year. Go 2009!

Now that is all I know. I tried to tell them that I shouldn't have to pay for it, but they wouldn't have it, so I paid it so I wouldn't yell obscenities at them. Oh and why do I have to pay a water deposit? I'm telling you any more of this garbage and I am going to go live in the woods. Can't wait for both.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!! I just went to look at my, I thought, bad grade in Psyc, and the professor gave me an "A"! I am so stoked, cause that means I will have a 4.0 gpa starting out my college career. Sam...asleep, Erin....asleep, Andrea...as asleep as a woman in labor can get. Right now it seems that there is no end in sight. It seems that Max is not as excited to come into the world as most babies.

So I sit here listening to Radiohead on my iPod going back and forth from school work and surfin the web. Fortunatlly some of my school work involves surfing the web. I am doing a research paper on music piracy. Fun stuff, I know.

On another subject, still trying to find a stupid house to rent. There was this sweet duplex on 50th and Tulsa, but the landlord seems to be incapable of calling me back, so screw him. Probably means he is a crappy landlord anyway. There was another condo by Lake Hefner that I called about today, but there are a couple of people that got applications ahead of me, so the lady said she would call me if the place was still available or not. Cross your fingers. Worst case senario Blake and I get a 2 bedroom apartment, no biggy.

I believe that is all that is going on. Hopefully this kid will pop out in the near future so everyone can go home and rest. I know Erin, Sam, and especially Andrea are pooped beyond pooped. I also am very tired, but I can deal.

Later all.

First post in awhile. You all should know what I've been up to, but if not here is the skinny.

I work at Chilis on Expressway and Rockwell. I don't like it very much, but it's quick money. I'm going to school at Rose State. I am halfway through my first semester, and I'm pretty sure I have 3 A's and a C, online Psych class is hard.

I am enjoying my freedom very much. Trying to get a house with one of my friends right now, renting not buying. I'll wait till I get a way better job to buy a house.

I cannot wait till this summer. I have it booked up. May is a concert in Dallas. June is music festival in Tennassee, July is super Seely/Simpson/Mauer Beach Exraviganza, and August is hopefully New York City. Should be great fun.

I'll get a updated picture and put if up for you all. I have to get all my stuff moved, get Luka's stuff moved, and some other navy stuff. See you soon!

Well Iraq 2007 is winding down...thank god! Each day that passes I get closer to coming home. I don't know for sure if the date I said is the actual date I'm coming back from Iraq. I will probably find out for sure next month. I am very excited to get out of the navy and come back home to grand ol' Oklahoma. It hasn't really set in yet, I'm sure once I go on terminal leave I will be one excited kid.

As you might of guessed a whole lot of nothing happenes here. Now that is better than what could happen, but still. Good news is that I'm having to do less and less work, meaning extra stuff that I'd normally have to do like training jackets for instance. So that's all the Iraq news.

For those of you who didn't know, Luka and I descided to go our seperate ways. She doesn't want to leave Washington and I don't want to stay in Washington. I've spent 4+ years away from my friends and family and I don't want to anymore. It is all on good terms so that's good in my eyes. I'd rather break up that way then find out she was cheating on me or something bad like that. Hopefully Seth is gong to fly up to Washington and drive back with me to OK. It all depends on his school schedule. If he doesn't I guess I'll drive back bymyself. :( That would suck but not as bad as the drive up to Washington.

Well not much else is going on. Here soon I will reture to the promised land! Love you all.

Well you heard him. Luka will be coming back with me so yeah, get excited I guess. I concur on the drawing names idea. Leave was fun. Sorry I wasn't around much. I was mainly there for Josh and Val for their wedding. The wedding was nice and I had fun. Hopfully I will be able to post the pictures on my blogger and not dad's. We will see.

Other than that nothing's happening. I'm going on a command campout next weekend. Should be fun. Luka was going to come but her last GED test is on the Monday after and I won't be able to take her back. Oh well education first. The weekend after that of course Dad and John come up. I'm excited to see them and show them my neck of the woods and my new house. Fun fun fun this month.

Big news in Adam world. I have been approved for Single BAH/BAS which in normal people terms is money to live out in town and money to buy groceries! So I now have ten days to move out of the barracks and I have just started looking for places to live. Until I find a place I am going to live with my buddy Morgan. His roommate is on the boat for 2 weeks so he says I can crash there until I find a place. Exciting stuff!

Luka is doing fine. Today is our two month anniversary. I'm taking her out tomorrow night since I have to work tonight. That should be fun, I know she's looking forward to it since I'm the first boyfriend to actually do something like that. We are planning to come back to Oklahoma for Christmas, as in both of us. So that should be an awesome time. I know she's excited to meet all of you crazies!

Well that's about it for me. I'm not going to Alaska anymore cause I got yoinked off the list cuz the navy is poor, so that sucks. That's it though. Hope to see everyone soon.

OK so I have been neglecting my blog. Thanks dad for the help. Yes I did make 3rd class. Finally after the 4th try. I'll probably be "frocked" as in be officially a petty officer in 2 weeks. I was stoaked when I found out. Adam's finally moving up in the world.

And yes I have a girlfriend now. Her name is Luka Jean Finchim. I met her at the wedding I was in. I was going to call her the day after the wedding, but she beat me to the punch. We talked for 2 weeks and then I went up and saw her. She lives in Wenatchee which is about a 3 hour drive from the island. The rest is history. She came back with me and stayed with her sister and we spent the week together. Things are moving kinda fast, which she couldn't be happier about. I'm the one trying to slow it down at least a little bit. She is pretty much everything I've been looking for in a woman, which is sweet. Anywho I'll stop there. Maybe someday you'll meet her.

And yes I am looking for a motorcycle to buy. Not a "crotch rocket" but a cruiser bike. I looked at a '04 Harley Sportster last weekend, which is a bit smaller than a regular harley. Ended up not getting it cause they uped the price 500 dollars and the guys wife called me and was being a, pardon my french, bitch about it. So I said no. So now I'm still looking. I need to sign up for the motorcycle safety course on base so I don't have to get my permit and all that riff raff here in Washington. Once I complete it I will have a motorcycle license. Don't worry about me, I will have all the best safety gear and will be super careful. Trust me I'm more scared than you. But excited at the same time. So there you go.

Let's see if I can post some pictures...

NOPE! I hate blogger. Oh well. Sorry people, that's technology for you. Never works when you want it to.

That's about it for me and news. Oh yea I'm going to Alaska for 2 1/2 weeks in July/August. Should be a blast. And I'll be home in Oklahoma June 3-11. Can't wait to see Theo and be at his 1st birthday. Anyways that's it. See you soon!

Ok I've been trying to put pictures up on my blog, but blogger is being dumb and angering me. I think I just might make it.

Also exciting note, I am going to the Sasquatch Music Festival memorial day weekend. I can't wait!! For those of you who know these bands marvel at this awesome lineup:

Friday: Nine Inch Nails and Him...plus others i don't know.

Saturday: Ben Harper, The Flaming Lips, The Shins, Iron and Wine..plus others one being Tim Seely! Time to get some money, har har.

Sunday: Beck, Death Cab for Cutie, Queens of the Stone Age...and others.

definitely taking leave just in case for those 3 days. I'm also going to warped tour in july. Went last year and it was a blast.

Not much going on this weekend cuz i have duty, which has gotten worse. Now we muster(take roll) and clean 3 times a day! A bunch of crap if you ask me. I can't wait to get back to Whidbey so we can go back to the old ways. This means that I'm going to miss my first St. Patty's Day as a 21 year old! Probably for the best. Anywho that's about it from Japan. 30 more days till I come back to the states. Also thanks Andrea, Sam, and Theo for the cookies, bear, and pringles. Might not make it for Theo's first though :( We are going to the boat for a week right around that time, but we'll see. I'm gonna figure it out by Monday. Hope to see you all soon.

 Pictures Part 2!!

Me and my friend Jimmy at a Shrine.

This is the paintball field. Two more to go. It has gone by fast. I've been working a lot lately, so I haven't been able to get out in town other than those first two times.

1st Time: We went to Kintai Bridge/Castle. It was pretty cool. We first just walked off base and just looked around. Mostly it is just a bunch of stores with American clothes to buy and some bars. We got down to a 7-11...yes they have them here...and we got a taxi to the bridge. It's basically an old bridge and goes across a river and then you can take a tram up to a museum. Go a lot of cool pictures and I am going to try and post them again this week. Before we went up to the castle we ate at this random restaurant. It was good, I had this noodle soup with rice wrapped in seaweed. Good stuff. All in all it was a good time.

2nd Time: We went out a different gate and walked all the way to this 5-story mall. The first story was a supermarket, and each floor had different things: clothes, toys, electronics, food court. We then walked to a outlet mall type of place, but it was all closed, so we wondered some more and ended up at a Japanese version of Best Buy. After that we started walking back towards base and of course there wasn't any cabs on the way back. Needless to say I was one tired pup after that walk.

Haven't really had a chance to go out since. Working a lot and been too tired. Maybe the weekend after next we won't work and I won't be on duty. Anyways that's about it from me. Hopfully I'll have some pictures up for you all this week. Take care.

Your personality type is SLOAN

You are social, moody, moderately organized, moderately accommodating, and non-intellectual, and may prefer a city which matches those traits.

The largest representation of your personality type can be found in the these U.S. cities: Charlotte, Harrisburg, Cleveland, Memphis, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Dallas/Ft. Sorry it took me so long to let you guys know. Been busy busy. Let me give you the run down.

We got on the plane Tuesday the 10th around 1030 and left. It was a ginormous plane to which I had my own row. We flew up to Anchorage, Alaska to re-fuel. We got to get off the plane too for about a hour. There was a bar in that concourse and they actually let us drink...in our uniform! I was surprised about that. Then again its not like we were going to get hammered or anything. So we got back on the plane and about 8 1/2 hours later we land in Japan. We get off the plane and are bused to our hanger where we go through "customs". Drug dog sniffs our luggage, and they look through our carry-ons. We then get bused to our barracks and get checked in. Compared to most barracks I've been in this one is pretty crappy, but my room is nice. I have my own room and the floor has 2 community bathrooms. Not too shabby. I also bought a 13" TV from the marines leaving in the barracks next to us for 10 bucks and a surround sound computer speakers for 25 that plugs into my ipod. By the way I paid off my best buy credit card and then bought an ipod with it. I'm awesome.... Anyways after I got all checked in and changed a few of us went out to the exchange to get some supplies. We then came back and went to bed. The past few days have been easy cause we have no jets, so its just been indoc stuff and unpacking our tools and whatnot. Haven't been out in town yet, but might today (Sunday) if I can get a hold of my liberty card. Me and a couple of guys are going to this bridge and a castle. Time to get some awesome pictures. I'll probably call you guys here soon. My buddy has a phone in his room and long distance is only 4 cents a minute. Well I'm going to say goodbye for now. I know I was as shocked as you are right now. Except for those of you who already know which is pretty much all of you who read this. I found this out yesterday. I really didn't expect to get my clearance while I was in the navy. I am shocked and glad that it is finally over. I will never again have to deal with DON-CAF. They are the ones behind the madness. Knock on wood of course. I'm still not pro-navy. What I had to go through to get my clearance is unacceptable in my eyes. So now I will go going back to my shop, even though I don't necessarily like the work, I like the people I work with a lot. So I guess there's that. Till next time...

Let me just start off by saying that my back is killing me right now. I don't know what I did to it today at work, but ouch. If it is still killing me tomorrow when I wake up then I might go to medical and get it checked out. Ok that's out of the way.

Not a lot is going on with me. I work in yet a different place now. I will only be there for less than a month. What a waste. I am getting my last two wisdom teeth removed on Friday. I am cool with that cause I am supposed to have duty that weekend, so now I don't have to go. I think that is pretty sweet. Also I am paintballing a lot lately. It is really fun, but I have a crappy gun. Really it's all I can afford. I'll get a new one when I get to Japan. That is of course if we don't get screwed with per diem a.k.a. extra money when your on "det". If you are confused by any of these terms, just find some former or current military friend and ask them. Anywho, that's about all that's happening here.

Now on to some more important stuff. I'm taking a cue from my good pal Ryan and gonna post some stuff that's going on inside my head. That's really what journal's are for anyhow. So here it goes.

The navy....

I honestly see not a chance in hell that I'll re-enlist. I'm tired of feeling screwed day in and day out. I missed making third class for the third time and why you ask. I could of studied a whole lot more or studied at all true. But I have worked more out of my rate (job) than in it. Let me put it into your language. Let's say you go to college to be a zookeeper, or major in zoology. So when you get out you want to work in a zoo or something like to to work with animals right? Well lets say you get lucky and get a job at OKC Zoo, but instead of using all this knowledge you just got going to college and studying your butt off to get there, they send you to the administrative part of the zoo. So now you're a bookkeeper with a zooology degree. Now I didn't get that much school, but you get the point right? The navy spent all this money on me to learn how to be an Avionics Tech, and instead I've been a delivery boy and a logs and records keeper. Now how much sense does that make? I think none, but what do I know.

Another beef I have is with this whole security clearance fiasco. It took them 2 years to figure out that I couldn't work in my rate until all was finished. I must not be that much of a security risk if it took them two years to figure it out. Security clearances must not be that much of a big deal if it takes them that long to do all clearances. I don't see the big problem here. I indulged a little in high school. Sadly, most people now a days have. I mean for christ's sake people in the navy used to smoke pot during work. They would do all kinds of crap, but oh no, now you smoke a little pot and it's like you got caught conspiring with commies. Now I know I'm exaggerating a bit, but that's what it feels like. I have lost all motivation when it comes to the navy. I used to be all gung-ho navy. But now I hate it. I know the smartest thing to do is stick it out and retire after 20 years, but there is no way after these first 2 and a half years. Well I'm done with this subject moving forward.

Woman.....

Now I don't know if you all know this but in my 21 years of living, I've had one real girlfriend. Even then I'm sure I was just a rebound guy. I am not good with the women. My friends know this, I know this. I'm great with the friendship part. I can make friends like it's nobody's business. But the whole romance thing...I have not a freaking clue. Plus all I've really seen is bad, horrible relationships minus my dad and sister. I see the worst of everything. My parents divorce, my mom's second divorce, the multitude of my friends screwed up relationships. I'm afraid to get like that. I can't stand fighting over nothing, so I don't. That's probably why my first one failed. I had no backbone or initiative. That and I was the worst at finding stuff to do i.e. dates. I would love to fall in love with a great woman and have kids and all that. I'd love to be a dad, but I have to figure out the first part. Now I might be overeating. Most guys would say, "geez you're only 21. Go have fun screwing around, blah blah blah" But I'm not that kind of guy. I don't really know what kind of guy I am, cuz I have nothing to base that off of. Again this is just some crazy crap that goes on inside my head some of the time.

That's about it for now. These things are pretty constant in my head. Just keep me in your prayers. I'm good, I'm not depressed or anything, just dissatisfied with my current situation is all. Also keep my best friend Robby in your prayers also. Most of you know him, but if you don't just know that he is yet another going over to Iraq. He leaves tomorrow(Thursday). He's an engineer so he's not on the front lines or anything, but still. Sorry if I went a little to deep this post. It happens from time to time. Just know that you will get to see me soon, and also some awesome pictures from Japan in the near future. Goodbye for now.

Yes I do so little, that I have time to tell you all what is going down this month on The Island.....

First things first. I am not going to Nellis(Vegas). I was on the list, but someone from above denied me. I am really disappointed, but I guess it is all for the best finacially. Speaking of which I am flat broke right now. Bills aren't a problem, its just that I buy too much food instead of eating at the galley. I would like to eat at the galley more often, but the food there just isn't that great. But now I have to eat there, so I am suckin it up. Also Japan is a go. I am excited to go there. Finally over 2 years in the navy and I get to go somewhere. I will be there for like 3 months or so. I leave pretty much right after I get back from Christmas leave. I am really looking foward to coming home. I haven't been home since last Christmas. I can't wait to meet Theo for the first time. It is going to be a nice leave before Japan. Although Japan is going to be really fun also.

Well that is the happenings with work. I have started paintballing. I even bought a paintball gun. I haven't used it yet because I had duty last weekend and I am poor. I'm going to try and save me some money while in Japan. Hopfully I can get a good chunk of money and pay off a lot of my car. It would be nice not to have a 225 dollar car payment every month. Well that's about all from me. Can't wait to see everyone.

I'm 21!!! Well in the wee hours of my birthday I went to not one, not two, but three bars, before i could find one who didn't know washington state law. apparently in washington you aren't leagly 21 until your birthday of the next business day. so oct 13 at 6 am. so me and my buddy chris played, "who knows the law?" we got to the third bar and they didn't know. so i bought me a crown and coke and we left. happy birthday to me. finally i have no age limitations. it feels great.

Well yet another week here on the island is coming to an end. Not a lot has happened as usual. But I guess I'll fill you all in on what I've been up to.

Work is just work. I still haven't gone anywhere, but that might soon change. Word is that we might be going to Japan for 3 months or so. Pretty sweet huh? And if we go to Japan, that means that before we will have to go to Nellis, AFB. Which if you didn't know is in the great city of Las Vegas, NV!! I already told my Senior Chief that he better take me or I'll cry. haha. I'll also be 21 by then. Only 3 more weeks!! I can't wait. The final age. After this I have no restrictions. I never thought this day would come, but alas. Anywho on to another subject.

So how about this whole Katrina thing? I say the people who had the ability to leave and didn't got what was coming to them. If they seriously thought they could ride out a CAT 5/4 hurricane in a city that is below sea level, they are dumb dumb dumb! Now for the people who couldn't leave, I feel sorry for. As for the white getting food black looting fiasco.....well that's the press's fault not Bush's or Washington's, or whoever else they want to blame. The press is the lowest form of life on earth, and people should know that by now. Ok, I'm done ranting now.

On to some happier news, I'm playing on my squadron's flag football team. Playing football is something I wish I'd done in high school. So I'm glad I'm doing it now. I'm a tackle, as in I rush the QB. Who would of thought? I even bought cleats. Right now we are 1-1, and we have a game Monday. This is one of the things I really look foward to during the week.

Well that's about it for me. What a time I had. I saw lots of things that I thought I would never see. One of them being the inside of the White House!! We'll get to that later.

First of all let me just say that American West's pilot's are a bunch of sissys. The "thunderstorm" in Vegas scared our pilot so we went from holding pattern, to landing at another airport to refule, then back to Vegas to sit and wait for a gate to open up. Long story short I missed my flight and took the same one the next night. I killed a day in Vegas no biggy. Walked up and down the strip.

Got to Maryland, and I really don't feel like typing what I did. I used to be on livejournal.com, but I descided to change. Here I will mostly post pictures of stuff I do while stuck in the navy. Let me just say this about the navy: I honestly don't like it. I am sure I would of loved old navy, but the navy is changing towards the worse. I won't go into detail because most of it is just confusing. So let's just end that subject right here.

I haven't really traveled yet. I went to bootcamp in Great Lakes, IL, 'A' School in Pensacola, FL, and now I'm in Whidbey Island, WA. Bootcamp was uneventful. Pensacola was long and I went through hurrican Ivan. That was an experience. Now I can say that I've been through a hurricane. Now I'm in Washington. I've been to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I have been twice. Just went up to "party" with buddies of mine. Fun, but expensive. I've also been to Boise, Idaho. One of my best "navy" friends lives there. I'll probably go there for Thanksgiving since Oklahoma is so far away and airline tickets are so expensive. His family is really nice. Other than that I haven't gone anywhere with my squadron. I might go to San Diego here in month or so. But again, they might leave me back. Good news is that our deployment is probably pushed back to winter. So that means I won't be in the Gulf during the summer. Thank god for that. It gets to around 120 degrees or so up on that flight deck in the Gulf. So really it's been quiet here on the island. I'll post some pictures of the different views of Washington.

Here is my beautiful car. I love it so much.

Here is my awesome computer. I love it also.

This is a cave that me, Mikey, and Roland found near Deception's Pass. Pretty cool huh?

Here is Deception's Pass bridge from afar. This is what connects Whidbey Island to the "mainland".

Cool picture of the water and trees and rocks.

From atop Mount Erie.

Well I have way more pictures, but they are just different variations of these. I'll post more as I do more stuff. I'm going camping this weekend at Jim Creek with my squadron. It should be fun. Well much love.
